Wunderland City - Darkness Inside!
A downloadable game for Windows
This project was developed over four weeks (and a half day!) for the itch.io Horror Themed Game Jam 5 - "Alice in Wonderland" from March 11th to April 11th 2022.
"A virus has escaped in Wunderland City", you have to go investigate and basically kill everything nasty you find there! :o)
Lots of work, about 400hrs, first three scenes are complete, but ran out of time, and only had an hour to submit it before the deadline, so maybe more to come in future!
Developed by myself with input from one other (to design/sound/asset choice who asked not to be named here).
YOU WILL NEED A HALF DECENT GRAPHICS CARD (GTX750 or above, developed on a GTX1060 6gb), although I have now baked all the lightmaps, for the starting Forest Scene (yes it's a little long but was my first attempt at a terrain) & the Wunderland City scene to run smoothly, otherwise everything will be pretty jerky/slow!
I didn't get time to fully implement the credits scroller so only shows some of them, and u currently have unlimited ammo as ran out of time to implement pickups, also auto collection of health kits, plus you can't enter your name at end currently!
FIXES / IMPROVEMENTS:
1: Forget to add check for XBox controller NOT being present - now fixed!
2: Forgot to turn off directional light in two scenes, so now a lot darker.
3: Continual "running" noise now fixed.
4: Updated Lighting for Entry Compound, Wunderland City, and Wolf Hills scenes - now lots of baked and other light sources added!
5. Added timed return to main menu when all lives lost / game complete.

IMPORTANT NOTES FOR PLAYING!
-------------------------------------------------
DON'T FORGET YOU MUST ACTIVATE THE TRANSPORT "FORCEFIELD" TO GET THRU TO THE SECOND SCENE (COLLECT THE RIFLE AND KEY).
I didn't have ANY time left to properly rig the weapon (rifle) to animations, so only did it for the "Firing Rifle" one (I mean running with a gun half thru your head or floating in the air when jumping is ok isn't it?) haha!
TOP TIP: PRESS "AIM" TO ENGAGE THE CROSSHAIRS, and be able to SHOOT the RIFLE, HOWEVER, AFTER FINISHING ANY ATTACK, You should RELEASE "AIM" again, OTHERWISE TURNING WILL BE A LOT SLOWER THAN NORMAL!
HOPE YOU ENJOY THE GAME, AND GO COLLECT THE WHITE RABBITS! I DIDN'T GET THEM ALL!

Lighting in start scene, and scene 3 now done, just waiting on a lengthy light bake... Will be on Sat afternoon sometime.
Now done, and added timed return to main menu when game over.
Should all be relatively working now, apart from lighting in one scene is still too light! Hey ho!
